Edurus Gravstenar was founded in 1999, following a trip to China that sparked a vision to modernize a tradition-bound industry. Our idea was simple: to offer high-quality headstones at a fair price, without compromising on craftsmanship, tradition, or personal service.

Since then, we have delivered over 50,000 headstones to satisfied customers across the country. You may have already passed an Edurus headstone at your local cemetery – many stand there today as silent, beautiful memorials.

We specialize in custom-designed headstones, where you as the customer can be involved throughout the entire process. Our strength lies in our ability to transform a photo, an object, or an idea into a unique headstone that truly reflects a person’s life. We have extensive experience with symbolism and traditions from all religions and cultures, and we can create headstones with inscriptions in any language.

Manufacturing in Malung, Lithuania, and China – With Respect for Materials and Cultural Heritage

Our headstones are currently manufactured at Malungs Stenfabrik in Dalarna, where we proudly carry on the Swedish tradition of craftsmanship. Here, we engrave our Nordic collection in granite, sourced from quarries in the Nordic region – the closest located just sixty kilometers from the factory.

We also have production facilities in Lithuania and in Chongwu, China – a region with a stone carving tradition dating back to the 14th century. Several of our craftsmen come from generations of stone carvers, and their ability to interpret photos and sketches into works of art in stone is world-class.
