Red Vanga granite

Red Vanga granite has been quarried in northwestern Skåne since the 1930s. Historically, Vanga granite has played an important role in the region’s economy and has been a symbol of Skåne’s rich natural stone tradition. Its use in gravestones and other building projects has helped to shape both the landscape and culture of the area.

Vanga granite is known for its red color and interesting pattern. Granite can vary in color and texture within a quarry, but the boulders used for headstones are uniform in color with little variation in pattern. Its beauty, durability and cultural significance make it a popular choice among our headstone customers.
