Black diabase

Swedish diabase is primarily extracted from quarries in Hällefors and Gällivare. Diabase has a long history of use in the stone industry in Sweden and has become a well-known and respected material within the industry. Its high quality, durability, and beautiful color make it a popular choice for gravestones.

Diabase is an igneous rock primarily composed of the minerals pyroxene and plagioclase. Diabase has a smooth and fine-grained texture, and its intense dark color gives a stylish and elegant feel when the stone is polished. Swedish diabase can vary in color and mineral composition, making each stone unique.
