Mäntsälä granite
This Finnish granite is extracted in Mäntsälä, a municipality in southern Finland, located approximately 60 km north of Helsinki in the Uusimaa region. The quarries in this region are known for producing granite in warm reddish-brown tones with varying pattern structures.
Mäntsälä granite is characterized by its warm, earthy tones and beautiful, marble-like pattern formation. The colors can vary significantly, ranging from lighter reddish-brown shades to darker and more intense hues. This means that each gravestone made of Mäntsälä granite is unique, as each stone block has its own character and pattern.
Mäntsälä granite is an igneous rock, which means it was formed through the slow crystallization of magma deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The granite was formed over 1 billion years ago and is part of the ancient bedrock that today makes up much of the Finnish landmass. The granite’s high density and crystalline structure make it an excellent choice for outdoor use, especially for gravestones that require long-lasting durability.

Granite from Finland is known for being quarried under strict environmental regulations, and many Finnish quarries focus on sustainability and minimizing environmental impact. This ensures that the nature of the region is preserved for future generations, making Mäntsälä granite a responsible choice for both quality and the environment.
